Be Compassionate

Mark 16:15 (AMP) says, “And Jesus said to them, Go into all the world and preach and publish the good news (the Gospel) to every creature [of the whole human race].”

Jude 1:22 (KJV) says, “And of some have compassion, making a difference:”

We know that we have a command from Jesus to preach and to share the Gospel. The first verse we read says, “..the whole human race”. That means that we must be ready to share the good news of Jesus with everyone. There are people that we bypass for one reason or another. One reason may be because that person is harsh or unkind. So we avoid them. That’s understandable, but often times those individuals behave that way because they need the Gospel preached to them. The best way to reach them is through compassion, which is what the second verse says. It is through compassion that we make a difference in people’s lives. I’m not saying that it’s always easy, but it is always true. Compassion must be our motivation for sharing the Gospel.

Today, ask God to help you be a compassionate person. You may need to ask Him to give you thick skin as well. Let’s purpose to win people to Jesus. Then they will encounter the greatest source of love and compassion…Jesus.

God is good!

The devil is defeated!

We win!
